Utilizing surface water as an alternative source <br />If not covered above, describe additional emergency measures for providing water (obtaining bottled <br />water, or steps to obtain National Guard services, etc.) <br />Allocation and Demand Reduction Procedures <br />Provide information for each customer category, including its <br />priority ranking, average day demand, and demand reduction potential for each customer category. <br />Modify the customer categories as needed, and add additional lines if necessary. <br />Water use categories should be prioritized in a way that is consistent with Minnesota Statutes 103G.261 <br />(#1 is highest priority) as follows: <br />1. Water use for human needs such as cooking, cleaning, drinking, washing and waste disposal; use <br />for on-farm livestock watering; and use for power production that meets contingency <br />requirements. <br />2. Water use involving consumption of less than 10,000 gallons per day (usually from private wells <br />or surface water intakes) <br />3. Water use for agricultural irrigation and processing of agricultural products involving <br />consumption of more than 10,000 gallons per day (usually from private high-capacity wells or <br />surface water intakes) <br />4. Water use for power production above the use provided for in the contingency plan. <br />5. All other water use involving consumption of more than 10,000 gallons per day. <br />22 <br />56 <br />
