City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 23, 2016 <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he and staff are finalizing a draft subsequent to Council’s last <br />work session and he should be providing that to Council shortly. <br /> <br /> d. Anoka County Community Action Program, Inc. <br /> <br />Council Member Love desired to request information about the presented Anoka County <br />Community Action Program and more information on how they assisted the senior individuals <br />more in depth than the report states and how the City could assist these individuals in the future. <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he would provide more information at Council’s next meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion was had regarding a recent inquiry as to property taxes and a home’s valuation. The <br />Mayor stated that the City Assessor, Ken Tolzman should be contacted regarding the valuation <br />and there should be a small fluctuation due to the Fire District. The Mayor also addressed an <br />opportunity in April for residents to discuss their home’s valuation with Mr. Tolzman at the <br />upcoming Local Board of Equalization meeting. Discussion was also had regarding the recent <br />enactment of Franchise Fees for utilities and is was stated that it would be advantageous for the <br />City to place something in the newsletter for resident’s awareness of the dedication Road <br />Maintenance Fund and its revenue. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz reminded the audience and Council Members that the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission scheduled three (3) public hearings for their April meeting (7261 Main Street – <br />Variance; 7265 & 7281 Main Street “Waterworks site” – Rezone & Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment and 1721 Westview Street “School Parking Lot” – Rezone & Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment. <br /> <br />XIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to Adjourn <br />the Council meeting of March 23, 2016 at 8:05 p.m. All in favor.
