City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 27, 2016 <br />amount is approximately $7.6 million with ample time to accumulate adequate reserves for <br />payment. Mr. McDonald stated that the Enterprise Funds (Water/Sewer) are healthy, positive <br />allowing for major repairs/replacement of infrastructure, etc. He also stated that the Storm Water <br />Fund had a balance of $125,000 and represented a good reserve. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald stated that upon reviewing similar cities of the same size and class, Centerville <br />has consistently been debt to assets 28%. Debt per capita has been decreasing over the past three <br />(3) years with taxes per capita being less than similar cities. He stated that expenditure per capita <br />have been consistently about $500 and less than similar cities. He also stated that Capital Assets <br />remaining to depreciate indicates the age of the infrastructure and is approximately 65% of the <br />total value. Mr. McDonald concluded his presentation by stating that the City is in sound <br />financial condition. <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he is very comfortable working with ABDO, Eick & Meyers <br />and believes they deliver a very good product. Administrator Ericson also stated that he is <br />confident with staff’s abilities and thanked Ms. Paulseth and Ms. Sweeney for their dedicated <br />service. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber thanked Mr. McDonald, ABDO, Eick & Meyers, for their years of service and <br />Mr. McDonald thanked the Council for the opportunity to provide their services. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve McDonald, ABDO, Eick & Meyers <br />1. <br /> <br /> <br />a.Approval of the 2015 Audit <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King to approve the 2015 <br />Audit as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Certificate of Appreciation & Recognition, Randy Rolstad <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber introduced Mr. Randy Rolstad. He presented him with a Certificate of <br />Appreciation and Recognition for his 30 years dedicated service on the Centennial Fire <br />Department stating that he ended his career as Chief of Station 3. Mayor Wilharber extended his <br />appreciation to all firefighters that were in attendance and Mr. Rolstad’s family. Mayor <br />Wilharber stated that a retirement party is scheduled for May 7, 2016 commencing at 6:00 p.m. <br />at Station 3 in Centerville. Centennial Fire District Chief Harlan Lundstrom also thanked Mr. <br />Rolstad for his years of dedication and service to the communities. Several stories were shared <br />and Mayor Wilharber thanked firefighters and Mr. Rolstad’s family for attending the meeting. <br /> <br />X.
