City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 27, 2016 <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson referenced the letter that was contained in Council’s packet from <br />Ms. Renee Sande, Anoka County Community Development Manager. Administrator <br />Ericson requested direction from Council to continue with the Community Development <br />Block Program. He stated that the City has been involved in this program for a long time. <br />Engineer Statz commented that this grant program helped fund the water services with <br />the Royal Meadows Project and those that met financial guidelines throughout the <br />community to connect to municipal water services. Council agreed to continue the <br />program. <br /> <br /> <br />b.CenterPoint Energy, Community Partnership Grant Application – Centennial Fire District <br />took advantage of an opportunity to secure funds through a new program and <br />Administrator Ericson desired for Council to know that this is a matching grant that has <br />been applied for. <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that Chief Lundstrom applied for the matching grant in the <br />amount of $975 to purchase monitors for Station 3 which will alert the responders as to <br />who will be responding to the call. <br /> <br /> <br />c.Met. Council Joint Water Utility Feasibility Study - Administrator Ericson stated that <br />there is a meeting schedule for Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lino Lakes <br />City Hall to review the completed study and desired to know who would be interested in <br />attending. Mayor Wilharber stated he would tentatively be able to, Council Member Paar <br />stated he was unsure and Council Member Fehrenbacher suggested that Council Member <br />King attend as he and Mayor Wilharber will not be running for office. Council requested <br />that Council Member Love be contacted regarding his potential for attendance. <br />Administrator Ericson stated that it is anticipated that they will review the study and be <br />looking for direction from the cities. <br /> <br />Attorney Glaser stated that on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. it would be <br />Anoka County Law Day where the Courthouse will be hosting informational clinics on wills, <br />immigration, family law, special court sessions and providing an opportunity for the public to <br />meet with judges. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz reported that Staff has been attending meetings with Lino Lakes staff regarding a <br />proposed distribution center, utilization of Fairview Street for ingress/egress for construction <br />vehicles and additional meetings that will be scheduled to discuss various elements of the <br />proposal and impacts to Centerville. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz gave a brief update regarding the progress of the Centennial School District, <br />Centerville Elementary School parking lot project and informed them that a letter was forwarded <br />to them notifying them of deadline dates and next steps that are needed to be taken. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz also gave a brief update regarding the property located at 7265 & 7281 Main <br />Street and stated that he has spoken with the developer regarding LaValle Drive and whether or <br />not it should be contained in the project as Mr. DeFoe’s property may be unable to secure an <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
