<br />Unapproved Minutes <br />Centennial Lakes Police Commission Meeting <br />December 12, 2002 <br />At Centerville City Hall <br /> <br />Minutes prepared by Tim Swedberg <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br />The Meeting was called to order by Chair Karen Varian at 7:00 PM. <br /> <br />2. Rolf Call: (Members present were) <br />Chair Varian <br />Commissioner Lund <br />Commissioner Simons <br />Commissioner Heifort <br />Commissioner Mahr <br />Commissioner Pitchford <br />Commissioner Grahek <br />Commissioner Swedberg <br />Commissioner Wright <br /> <br />Ex Officio: <br />Chief Heckman <br /> <br />Commissioner Korst was absent <br /> <br />3. Public Forum <br />No person was present to address the Commission <br /> <br />4. Commissioners Comments <br />Commissioner Wright asked if the Commission would be meeting in January in <br />Circle Pines as he notifies the Quad Press of the meeting dates. It was agreed <br />that the meetings would rotate next to Circle Pines. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahr stated that several Commissioners in November attended <br />a Police and Management Issues Seminar in White Bear lake sponsored by the <br />League of Minnesota Cities. The information presented was very informative and <br />ranged from impoundment of vehicles to Community Policing concepts. <br /> <br />Commissioner Grahek noted that this is the last meeting for Commissioner <br />Swedberg and thanked him for his service during the previous 2 years. <br /> <br />Commissioner Swedberg thanked the Chief and Department and all of the <br />Commissioners for their efforts during 2001-2002 with a special tjlanks and <br />acknowledgement for the outstanding service to the citizens of Centerville by <br />Commissioners Wright and Grahek. He stated it was a privilige to serve on the <br />Commission and wished everyone a very Merry Christmas. <br /> <br />5 <br />
