<br /> <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br />Items on the consent agenda were: <br />A. Approval of the Minutes of the November 14, 2002 Commission Meeting <br />B. Approval of the Monthly Financial Report for November 2002 <br />C. Ratification and Approval of the November 2002 Claims and Expenses <br /> <br />Motion: <br />Commissioner Pitchford made a motion to approve the consent agenda <br />seconded by Commissioner Lund. The motion was unanimously approved <br />with Commissioner Heifort abstaininQ on the approval of the November 14, <br />2002 MeetinQ Minutes. <br /> <br />6. Action Items <br />A. Time Savers Secretarial Contract <br />The Chief presented the information he received from Timesavers and he <br />remarked how thorough they were and recommended approval of the contract. <br />The Commission realized this was a bit more money than had been budgeted, <br />but welcomed the ability for the contractor to provide the service even when the <br />assigned recording secretary might be absent. <br /> <br />Motion: " . " <br />CornmiSSfonet Grahek made a motion to approve the contract between.the <br />Commission and Time Savers for secretarial and minutes services seconded by <br />Commissioner Swedberg. The motion was unanimouslv approved. <br /> <br />B. Non-union Salaries, Commission Contract for 2003 <br />The Commission took no action nor recommended a course or action pending <br />further discussions on compensation and benefit packages until the Union <br />contract is determined on or about January 27. <br /> <br />Action Item: <br />Commissioner Mahr asked for past trends and comparisons in compensation and <br />benefits to be made available to the Commission at the scheduled January <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion: <br />Commissioner Heifort made a motion to deiay the approval of the saiary and <br />benefits package for Non-Union employees until the Union contract is approved <br />seconded by Commissioner Lund. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />C. Commission Make-up - Task Force Report <br />Chair Varian reported that the Task Force had not completed it's report and could <br />not offer further comment as the report is intended to be released simultaneously <br />to the Commission and City Councils. <br /> <br />0. <br />
