City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 27, 2016 <br />as per the original agreement. Lengthy discussion was had regarding Mr. Magdik’s lack of <br />responses, financing, timeframe satisfaction, etc. Attorney Glaser suggested that an addition <br />$150 would be added to the purchase agreement and a $1,000 failure to close penalty if the <br />purchase did not close by August 15, 2016. <br /> <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to Authorize the <br />Amendment of the Purchase Agreement with Closing on the Property Scheduled for <br />Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with the Additional $150 Included in the Agreement <br />and a $1,000 Penalty if Closing Did Not Take Place by August 15, 2016. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />2.2016 Fete des Lacs City Festival – Activities & Parade <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that the festival is scheduled for August 2 through August 7, 2016 <br />and reviewed the scheduled events that would be taking place. Administrator Ericson thanked <br />the Quad Press for wonderful articles and inserts which have been excellent. Council thanked <br />the Festival Committee members and stated that if individuals were interested there were still <br />room for runners and softball teams. Administrator Ericson stated that Staff has mailed parade <br />route information to all residents and informing those along the parade lineup of delays and the <br />Main Street closure times. Council thanked the Centennial Lakes Police Department and <br />Centennial Fire District for their services and attendance of Committee meetings. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />st <br /> <br />1.Discussion of Distribution Center on 21 Avenue South – United Properties <br /> <br />Mr. Brandon Champeau, United Properties stated that on Monday, July 25, 2016, the Lino Lakes <br />City Council approved the preliminary plat and a TIF district for the construction of a <br />th <br />distribution center located along 21 Avenue South bordering Centerville. He also stated that at <br />one time, the company was considering property in Centerville until wetland issues arose. Mr. <br />Champeau stated that Centerville staff, himself and Lino Lakes staff have entered into <br />st <br />discussions regarding the extension of 21 Avenue and the need for a Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br />between the cities for maintenance of the roadway through Centerville as it is a shared roadway. <br /> <br />Lengthy discussion took place regarding traffic, Cedar Street, wetlands, amount of truck traffic at <br />40 to 60 trucks per week, routing pattern of these vehicles and their staff, future development on <br />the Centerville side of the roadway, consideration of Fairview Street extension in the future and <br />the good of this development with future development within the City of Centerville. <br /> <br />Mr. Champeau stated that his firm does have an option for the Centerville properties. He <br />presented a concept plan for growth and is excited for development of the region.
