City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 10, 2016 <br />IX. COUNCIL & ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />1.Administrator Ericson <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson noted his report on the 2016 City Festival activities. <br /> <br />Council Member Love stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission met on Monday evening <br />and discussed the Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings and their recommendation was <br />included in the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber reminded the audience that filing for office will close on August 16, 2016. He <br />stated that the seats available are Mayor (2 year term) and Council Members, 2 seats (4 year <br />term). <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to Adjourn <br />the Council Meeting of August 10, 2016 at 7:05 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. WORK SESSION <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber, Council Members Paar, Fehrenbacher, King and Love; City Attorney Glaser, <br />City Engineer Statz and Finance Director Paulseth were present. <br /> <br /> <br />1.2017 Proposed Budget <br /> <br />Finance Director Paulseth presented the proposed 2017 Budget with a power point presentation. <br />She noted that the budget was very similar to the past few years with little change. She stated <br />that has had not received numbers from Anoka County so she made professional assumption for <br />budget discussion. <br /> <br />Lengthy discussion took place regarding the proposed budget, submitted sign proposal and <br />potential funding sources. Council requested that funding be increased for their training as new <br />members would be serving in the upcoming year and a Comprehensive Plan update would also <br />need funding. <br /> <br />Council scheduled an additional Work Session following their regularly scheduled Council <br />meeting of August 24, 2016 and Ms. Paulseth agreed to provide updated information. <br /> <br />Motioned by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love To Adjourn the <br />Work Session at 7:50 p.m. All in favor.
