City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 24, 2016 <br />recommendations/suggestions. Both stated that they felt that beneficial strides have been taken <br />to engage businesses and establish relationships with neighboring business communities. <br /> <br />Mr. Bell and Mr. Gitzlaff felt that Council needed to ascertain the City’s role in economic <br />development and begin slowly. Dr. Waldron suggested that Council may choose to implement <br />two or three smaller, less intensive actions. As time goes on and staff’s involvement increases, <br />the City will see success in the future. <br /> <br />Lengthy discussion ensued regarding rebranding, tag line, financing incentives, business <br />retention, business relationships, momentum from the festival, etc. <br /> <br />Council thanked both students and Dr. Waldron for the tools and research that they provided. <br /> <br />IV. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber if anyone desired to add additional items. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to approve <br />the Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. July 27, 2016 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber provided Council with an opportunity to make modifications. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve the July <br />27, 2016 City Council meeting minutes as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. August 10, 2016 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber provided Council with an opportunity to make modifications. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br />the August 10, 2016 City Council meeting minutes as presented.
