City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 24, 2016 <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to Adjourn <br />the Council Meeting of August 24, 2016 at 8:04 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />I. WORK SESSION <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber, Council Members Paar, Fehrenbacher, King and Love; City Attorney Glaser, <br />City Engineer Statz and Finance Director Paulseth were present. <br /> <br /> <br />1.2017 Proposed Budget <br /> <br />Finance Director Paulseth presented the 2017 proposed City budget with changes suggested by <br />Council at its August 10 Council budget work session. It is a 2.66 million dollar budget that <br />reflects a reduction in the City tax capacity due in part to an increase in Fiscal Disparities. She <br />stated that the budget is flexible and neutral with little change over 2016. She also stated that the <br />City’s taxes would decrease by $15 for an average valued home. Council had further discussion <br />and directed Ms. Paulseth to increase the levy to include funding for the City sign. <br /> <br />Motioned by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King To Adjourn the <br />Work Session at 8:50 p.m. All in favor.
