City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 24, 2016 <br />IX. COUNCIL & ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />1.Administrator Ericson <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he currently is making visits to businesses that sponsored the <br />Fete des Lacs Festival to thank them and deliver merchandise from the event as a token of <br />appreciation. He also stated that there would be a re-cap meeting scheduled shortly. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that there would be a Fire Steering meeting in October and that Sgt. <br />Bill Jacobson recently made a YouTube video and suggested putting it on the City’s web site. <br />Staff completed. <br /> <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher stated that the Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board meeting <br />is scheduled for November 14, 2016. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz stated that the ISD #12 is finishing up paving the parking lot(s) in preparation of <br />the upcoming school year. He also reported that grading is taking place east of Centerville on <br />Rehbein property in Lino Lakes without formal approval by the city. Mayor Wilharber asked <br />about storm water from the site and Engineer Statz stated that it would be draining to Clearwater <br />Creek. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber questioned whether charges had been filed against those that were caught in <br />connection with the burning of the porta pot at LaMotte Park and Legal Counsel Glaser stated <br />that nothing had been filed to date. Mayor Wilharber suggested that a candidate forum be <br />mediated by the League of Women Voters as five (5) candidates are running for two (2) Council <br />seats. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that the water tower may need cleaning and the possibility of <br />working with neighboring communities if their towers needed cleaning also. He also questioned <br />the mill and overlay project and whether sod or seed would be provided in those areas that were <br />disturbed. Engineer Statz stated that he believed the contract called for sod. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to Adjourn <br />the Council Meeting of August 24, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />reconvene the regularly scheduled meeting of August 24, 2016 at 8:03 p.m. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Check #30449-30459 where missed during the Set Agenda Item. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve Check <br />#30449-30459 as presented.
