<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission held its regular <br />meeting on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> Chairperson Darrin Mosher <br />Vice-Chairperson Russ Koski <br />Commissioner Kim Ganzel <br /> Commissioner Matthew Montain <br />Commissioner Pete Johnson <br />Commissioner Nick Twohy <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br />Commissioner Mark Haden <br /> <br />STAFF: <br /> City Administrator Mike Ericson <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT: <br /> Council Member D. Love (Arrived @ 6:45 p.m.) <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Mosher. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Roll Call <br /> <br />II. PUBLIC HEARING(S) <br /> <br /> <br />1.Request for Rezone & Comprehensive Plan Amendment – 6867 – 20th Avenue <br />South (Rollo’s Paving, LLC) ~ From B-1 (Commercial) & R-3 (High Density, <br />Multi-Family Residential) <br /> <br />Chairperson Mosher opened the public hearing at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. & Mrs. Rollo Strand stated that they intended the purchase the building primarily for the <br />storage of trucks and equipment. They intend on making the building into a multi-tenant building <br />with indoor and outdoor improvements. Their broker, Mr. Mike Brass, Colliers, stated that they <br />were aware that the building needed to be connected to municipal services and the installation of a <br />sprinkler system prior to occupancy. Mr. Brass & Mr. Strand discussed the use of the back <br />portion of the property and the ability to construct a bridge to access it. They also stated that they <br />intended on paving the existing parking lot by forty feet. <br /> <br />A neighboring property owner had concerns regarding the stockpiling of recycled asphalt and <br />concrete. He desired for that not to be allowed. Mr. Strand stated that he would not stockpile any <br />material outdoors. <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />
