August 24, 2016 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Paar provided Council with an opportunity to make modifications. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to approve <br />the August 24, 2016 City Council meeting minutes as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />VI. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville August 25, 2016 through September 14, 2016 Claims (Check <br />#30461-30490) w/Voided Check #30371, 30387 & 30431 & (Check #30491-30501) <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire District through August 31, 2016 Claims (Check #7589-7598) <br /> <br />3.Centennial Lakes Police Department through September 7, 2016 Claims (Check <br />#11042-11088) <br />rd <br /> <br />4.Encroachment Agreement, 1935 – 73 Street – Fence <br /> <br />5.Pay Estimate #1, Knife River Corporation ~ 2016 Mill & Overlay Project <br /> <br />6.Res. #16-025 – Resolution Establishing the Second Tuesday of August (Primary <br />Election Day) to be Longest Standing Election Judge, Mrs. Mary Ann Thill Day <br /> <br />7.Res. #16-026 – Resolution Establishing September 14, 2016 as Isaac Lutz Day <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for Council Members to remove any items of <br />concern and Council Member Love requested that Items #6 & #7 be pulled and read. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve <br />Consent Agenda Items #1-#5 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Paar stated that Mrs. Mary Ann Thill was the mother of long-time, active <br />Centerville Lion member John Thill and had been recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. He <br />stated that she served many organizations along with being an active Election Judge for the City. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Paar also stated that a youth in his neighborhood, Isaac Lutz, was recently <br />released from the hospital following a 40 day stay. He stated that the youth continues to battle <br />osteomyelitis at home with injections/infusions of antibiotics three times a day. Acting Mayor <br />Paar stated that the young man is eight years old and has shown a large amount of courage <br />including undergoing three (3) surgeries. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Paar read both resolutions. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve Consent <br />Items #6 & #7 as presented.
