City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 12, 2006 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee, to approve the <br />Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Planning & Zoning Commission’s Recommendation to Grant a Variance Request <br />for the Church of St. Genevieve – Access Roadway Less than 20 Feet from Side <br />Lot Line <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson explained that this matter was considered and <br />continued while the property owner and the Church worked through some issues <br />and the Planning Commission has now recommended approval with conditions <br />listed. <br /> <br />Brian Barrett of 6537 Deer Wood Lane Lino Lakes, representing St. Genevieve’s <br />Church, appeared before Council and asked for consideration of the variance. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra thanked St. Genevieve’s and the Highlands for their willingness to <br />work this out. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to <br />approve the requested Variance based on the findings and recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> 2. Main Street Gate Valve Bolt Replacement – Approval of Ro-So Proposal <br />$26,345.00 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff will discuss this matter with Anoka <br />County prior to replacement. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lee, to <br />approve replacement of Gate Valve Bolts and contract with RoSo in an <br />amount not to exceed $26,345. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Parks & Recreation Committee’s Recommendation for Council Consideration to <br />Accept the Submitted Proposal from GameTime for Purchase of Play <br />Structure/Drainage/Border for Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park – Not to Exceed <br />$42,800 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 10 <br />
