City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 12, 2006 <br />Council Member Paar indicated that Parks has put a lot of time and effort into this <br />and this is their recommendation and the amount includes installation and tax with <br />exception of flow drain tile system to be installed by the City. <br /> <br />Ms. Stephan said that parks do not want to include wood fibers with this purchase <br />agreement as they are looking at recycled materials. The estimate includes the <br />shredded materials - $5,880 for the wood fiber. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway cautioned that the American Playground Institute has <br />standards for depths and surfaces and the City wants to make sure that those are <br />met. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />approve the Park and Recreation Committee’s Recommendation to accept <br />the submitted proposal from GameTime for Purchase of Play <br />Structure/Drainage/Border for Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park with the <br />removal of the wood fibers of $5,880. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Consideration of the Installation of the Bald Eagle Water Ski Jump Permit <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br /> <br />approve the installation of the Bald Eagle Water Ski Jump Permit. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />rd <br /> 5. Res #06-024 – Accepting Bids & Awarding the Hunter’s Crossing 3 Addition <br />Improvements <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br /> <br />approve Resolution #06-024 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> 6. Res #06-025 – Accepting Quote & Awarding Contractor for Demolition & <br />Removal of Tracie McBride Memorial Park Water Tower <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated the City received proposals of $9,200, <br />$9,800 and $11,900 and the engineer made the recommendation for $9,200. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that they have used this firm before. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />approve Resolution #06-025 as presented.
