City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 28, 2016 <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />the September 14, 2016 City Council Meeting Minutes as Presented. Mayor abstained <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />VI. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville September 15, 2016 through September 28, 2016 Claims (Check <br />#30503-30516) & Check #30517-30527 W/Check #30502 Replacing Voided Check <br />#30478 <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire District through September 6, 2016 Claims (Check #7599-7605) <br />W/Voided Check #7583 & Payroll Check #7606-7609) <br /> <br />3.Centennial Lakes Police Department through September 21, 2016 Claims (Check <br />#11089-11107) <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber provided an opportunity for Council Members to remove any agenda items for <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Items as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Water Tower Cleaning – Tabled from Previous Meeting <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that Staff attempted to obtain additional bids for the cleaning. <br />Engineer Statz stated that he had provided Staff with three (3) additional firms that provide <br />cleaning services. Administrator Ericson stated that either the vendor has not returned messages <br />or are too busy to complete the task this year. Attorney Glaser stated that state statute notes that <br />an attempt must be made to obtain additional bids and records need to be kept substantiating <br />those attempts. Engineer Statz stated that he felt it was a fair price and Kangas Tank could <br />complete the project yet this year. Administrator Ericson stated that the City has utilized Kangas <br />Tank for the last three cleanings and concurred that the services would be completed this year. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve <br />the Cleaning of the Water Tower through Kangas Tank Inc. in an Amount Not to Exceed <br />$4,900 and Documented Attempts to Secure Alternative Proposals for the Same Services. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />2.City Owned Properties – Listing Agreement (Jon Rausch, Cushman & Wakefield) <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that Mr. Rausch declined the City’s offer due to amount of current <br />clients and potential for conflict of interest. Administrator Ericson also stated that Staff was <br />directed to engage a broker; he contacted Mr. Mike Brass, Collier International, who stated that <br />he would be interested in the listings. <br /> <br />Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
