City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Committee <br />January 4, 2017 <br />VII. UPDATES/OTHER <br />1. Council Updates — Council Member Steve King/Administrator Ericson <br />Administrator Ericson stated that the City has received a purchase agreement <br />from Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Company for the purchase of 2065 <br />Commerce Drive. The Committee may remember that the same company <br />presented the City with a purchase agreement in 2016, however were unable to <br />sell their existing building and had to remove their offer with the City. He also <br />reported that Anoka County had hired a contractor to complete tree trimming <br />along County Roads and Council Member King reported that the levels of White <br />Bear Lake are higher than normal for the past fall. <br />2. Review 5 year Projects List <br />This list was reviewed & updated in December & distributed at the January <br />meeting. <br />3. P & R Committee Vacancy Status — 2 Openings <br />City Administrator Ericson will check with the staff to determine if there has been <br />any interest from the public to fill one of the two openings on the Committee. Mr. <br />Grahek has stated he will check with spouse to determine if she is interested in a <br />position. <br />4. Fete des Lacs Festival Committee Meeting Update — Administrator Ericson <br />Administrator Ericson stated that the next meeting is scheduled for January 30, <br />2017. It is anticipated that Committee Members Peterson and Bettinger will again <br />be the P & R liaisons for this Committee. He reported that discussions have taken <br />place regarding possible a new route and start time for the runs/walks in 2017, <br />however the fees will remain the same. <br />VIII. ACTION ITEMS REVIEW <br />Items that have been completed will be removed, some are still open and additional items <br />discussed at this meeting will be added. A revised Action Item List, as of the January 4, <br />2017 meeting will be included with the minutes to be approved. <br />• Items that have been completed or are to be deleted as of January 4, 2017 will be <br />removed: 15-038-16-036 <br />• Change dates from January to February: 16-017, 16-001, 16-029 <br />• Change dates from December to Spring, 2017: 15-040, <br />• Change dates from January, 2017 to ON-GOING: 15-038b, 16-029, <br />Page 4of5 <br />
