City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Committee <br />January 4, 2017 <br />the Committee sell the current system and apply those funds (approx. $600 to <br />$800) to reduce the cost of the new equipment. <br />6. GAGA Pit Corner Braces — TABLED to February meeting <br />The Committee discussed obtaining 2 x 10 or 2 x 8 green treated lumber for this <br />project. Committee Member Seeley will check with Anoka County. <br />7. SCORE Funds for Recycling Reimbursement <br />This item has been determined to be not applicable. <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Resignation: <br />Mr. Jon Grahek has submitted his resignation as a P & R Committee Member to <br />the City Council, which was accepted and he was subsequently appointed to the <br />Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee <br />Member Bettinger to elect/appoint Committee Member Waeghe as the 2017 <br />Chairperson and to electtappoint Committee Amundsen as the 2017 Vice <br />Chairperson. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />At this point, the gavel was passed to Committee Member Waeghe to continue to <br />preside over the remainder of the meeting. <br />2. Special Event Permit Application <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Bettinaer. seconded by Committee <br />Member Peterson to request City Council approve this application with the <br />following or similar language: "Spray painting on trails, rocks, etc. along the <br />race course is not allowed." All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Staff will be asked to prepare & send a letter to Mr. Terry Thompson, their <br />contact person and Mr. Randy Fulton, the applicant of FrontRunner with the <br />approval of the application subject to the language stated above. <br />3. Park Dedication Ordinance <br />The Committee requested that the Park Dedication Ordinance be provided to them <br />to review. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
