City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 11, 2017 <br />Some modifications had been made for flat rate fees for permits (basement finishing, door/window <br />replacements, pools, reroof/reside, and siding) as the State decreased their State Surcharge from $5 <br />to $1 which was included in the fee for ease of staff. Council Member Love requested that the <br />minutes reflect that the Administrator stated no but modifications had been made, where and why. <br />(Excerpt from the January 25, 2017 Council meeting minutes <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski, to Approve the <br />2017 Fee Schedule as Presented with the Exception of the Water/Sewer/Storm Water rates. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br />3. Res. #17-003 - 2017 Appointments <br />Mr. Statz requested that Council formally requested the newspaper allow for a deadline date of noon <br />on Thursdays rather than Wednesdays and Mayor Paar also stated that it would be very much <br />appreciated. <br />1. Acting Mayor — Council Member Love <br />2. Anoka County Fire Protection Council — Council Member Montain alternate Council Member <br />King. <br />3. Centerville Centennial Fire District Steering Committee member — Mayor Paar, Council <br />Member King and Council Member Love as alternate. <br />4. Check Signing Authority — Mayor Paar, Council Member Love and City Administrator <br />Ericson <br />5. North Metro Telecommunications Commission Rep. — Council Member King and alternate <br />Council Member Koski. <br />6. Centennial Lakes Police Department Governing Board — Mayor Paar, Council Member Love <br />and alternate Council Member Montain. <br />7. Rush Line Corridor — Mayor Paar and alternate Council Member Love <br />8. I-35 W/E Coalition — Mayor Paar and Council Member King <br />9. Weed Inspector — Mayor Paar Deputy weed inspector — Paul Palzer (no changes) <br />10. Committees/Commissions —Economic Development Authority — Mayor Paar stated that this <br />will be on their goal and currently do not have this set but they are thinking a couple of <br />council members, citizens, and small business owners as volunteers. <br />11. Park & Recreation Committee -Chairperson Kevin Waeghe, Vice Chairperson, Kevin <br />Amundsen, Committee Members — Chris Bettinger, Brian Peterson and Suzanne Seeley <br />Administrator Ericson stated that there is a vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Committee.. - <br />Council Member Liaison — Montain — <br />12. Planning and Zoning — Chairperson Darrin Mosher, Vice Chairperson Peter Johnson and <br />Commission Members are Jon Grahek, Nick Twohy, Mark Haiden, Kimberly Ganzel and <br />Linda Broussard Vickers — Council Member Liaison — Koski <br />13. Staff/Contracted Services <br />Mayor Paar asked Council if anyone had any questions in regards to staff/contracted services and <br />Council concurred that they would remain the same as the previous year. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
