City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 11, 2017 <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to approve the Res. <br />#17-003 - 2017 Appointments as stated. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Council thanked Publisher Carter Johnson, Quad Community Press, for their willingness and <br />flexibility in granting the City's request. <br />4. Res. #17-004 —Acting Mayor & Order of Succession <br />Administrator Ericson stated the Acting Mayor and Order of Succession would be Council Member <br />Love, Council Member King, Council Member Montain and Council Member Koski. <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to approve Res. #17- <br />004 — Acting Mayor & Order of Succession. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />5. Schedule 2017 City Council Goalsetting Session <br />Administrator Ericson stated that Council desired a condensed Agenda for their second meeting in <br />January where a Work Session could be scheduled with the discussion of the 2017 Goals and <br />sewer/water/storm sewer rate discussions. He stated that he had invited all Committee/Commission <br />members and P & Z's largest project for 2017 is the Comprehensive Plan and P & R's largest project <br />is their project list. <br />Mayor Paar requested that staff forward and invitation to attend to all Council, Committee and <br />Commission Members. <br />6. Proclamation — National School Choice Week, January 22-28, 2017. <br />Administrator Ericson stated that the previous Mayor was presented with this request. <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Montain to approve the <br />Proclamation - National School Choice Week, January 22-28, 2017 as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />Xl. COUNCIL & ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT <br />1. Administrator Ericson <br />a. Anoka County MHFA First Time Homebuyer's Program — Administrator Ericson <br />reported that the City of Centerville had one home loan through the Anoka County MHFA <br />Program in 2016 and that this program is run through Anoka County and not the City. <br />b. CenterPoint Energy — Administrator Ericson stated that CenterPoint Energy is increasing <br />their rates by approximate $2/month or $24/year. <br />Attorney Glaser and Engineer Statz thanked Council for again appointing them as contracted <br />providers by the upcoming year. <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />
