PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />Wednesday, April 5, 2017 — 6:30 p.m. <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of <br />Centerville held a scheduled meeting on April 5, 2017 at the City Hall location. <br />Present: Vice Chairperson Kevin Amundsen <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson <br />Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br />Committee Member Kevin Waeghe <br />Also Present: Council Member, Matt Montain <br />Race Director, Kerri Kolstad <br />Absent: Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairperson Amundsen called the April 5, 2017 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee to order at 6:37 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. <br />II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. Parks & Recreation Committee Minutes of March 1, 2017 <br />Vice Chairperson Amundsen provided members with an opportunity to review/amend the <br />submitted minutes. <br />Motion by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member <br />Peterson to Approve the Minutes of March 1. 2017 as amended Committee <br />Member Waezhe abstained. Motion carried. <br />III. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br />Ms. Kern Kolstad stated that the City's newsletter has been forwarded to residents, five <br />(5) runners are registered and the mailing list is growing. She reported that she is <br />ensuring that all websites have the same information on them or links to the Fete des Lacs <br />website. She stated that Grand Casino and Xcel Energy have committed to being <br />sponsors, the sponsorship letters have been forwarded, this year's theme is the wild west, <br />locating a photographer, considering runners wearing costumes and awarding prizes for <br />best dressed, etc., Apple Academy is sponsoring the kids run and ensuring that the gates <br />will be open for the run and waiting for acceptance of the permit. <br />IV.
