City of Centerville Parks & Recreation Committee April 1, 2017 1. GAGA Pit — Review Bids Received for Heavy Duty Steel Corner Braces (Tabled) The Committee tabled this item. 2. Fete des Lacs Committee Meeting Update Committee Member Peterson stated that a bean bag toss will be added, there were mixed reviews regarding the possibility of a boxing match, outdoor band at Kelly's Korner, ReMax hot air balloon rides and the possibility of having the fireworks over the lake. VI. NEW BUSINESS 1. Meeting Days The Committee discussed information provided to them regarding other meeting days of neighboring communities and determined that they desired to retain Wednesdays as their meeting date. 2. Park Cleanup Day The Committee received a letter from a Girl Scout Troop to clean up Tracie McBride and Acorn Creek Parks. Motion by Committee Member Waeahe, seconded by Committee Member Seeley to Approve the Request as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. The Committee discussed gathering at City Hall on April 22, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and disbursing to assisting in the cleanup of parks. The Committee desired for Staff to post this information on the City's Reader Board. 3. Centennial Soccer Club Use of LaMotte Park Fields Sunday -Thursday, 5-9 p.m., April 2 — August 31, 2017 The Committee was concerned that any one group could utilize all the fields and not allow other sports/teams use and requested that actual schedules be presented when available. Motion by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Waeahe to Approve the Request as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. The Centennial Soccer Club has had one team request the use Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 6.00 — 7:30 p. m. from April 24 — May 10, 2017. 4.
