City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 25, 2017 <br />1. Administrator Ericson <br />a. Anoka County Recycling Award — City of Centerville <br />Administrator Ericson was absent from the meeting. <br />Council Member King stated that the NMTV is completing a study on closed captioning <br />with new equipment. <br />Council Member Koski expressed gratitude to Corner Express and its employees for <br />implementing recycling and congratulated them on receiving an award. <br />Council Member Montain reminded the audience and public of Parks & Recreation <br />events with Music in the Park happening every Tuesday evening at Hidden Spring Park <br />commencing at 6:30 p.m. and Movie in the Park scheduled for September 16, 2017 with <br />the movie to be determined. <br />Mayor Paar gave a brief review of upcoming events: Fete des Lacs, registrations being <br />accepted for the parade, runs, volleyball, kickball and softball tournaments and <br />paddleboard and kayak races. He also reported that Garage Sale Days was June 9 and 10 <br />with Clean Up Day on June 17, 2017. Mayor Paar stated that residents may be unaware <br />that Waste Management offers yard waste and branch pickup curbside for $7.50/month <br />during the summer months but billing will be yearly. <br />Mayor Paar thanked individuals that are serving in the armed forces and those that have <br />served as Memorial Day was upcoming. <br />XII. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to Adiourn <br />the Regularly Scheduled Meeting of May 25, 2017 at 8:22 p.m. All in favor.
