City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 22, 2017 <br />Mayor Paar requested that his name be corrected on page 1 and that at the top of page 5, <br />second sentence should read April rather than May. <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King, to approve <br />the March 8, 2017 City Council Meeting Minutes with the Noted Amendments. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br />VIII. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City of Centerville March 9, 2017 through March 22, 2017 Claims (Check <br />#30899-30910) & (Check #30911-30926) <br />2. Centennial Lakes Police Claims through March 16, 2017 (Check #11340- <br />11354) & (Check #11355-11373) <br />3. Centennial Fire District Claims through March 10, 2017 (Check #7791-7799) <br />w/Payroll Check #7787-7790 <br />Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for Council Members to add additional items or <br />remove items for further discussion. <br />Council Member Montain requested that Check 430907 be pulled for additional <br />discussion and consideration. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the need for three individuals to have memberships for <br />Sam's Club and Administrator Ericson stated that he would not recommend this and <br />requested that it be held. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Montain to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as Presented Except for Check #30907. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Company, Jon Pederson Agreement (City <br />Agreement) <br />Administrator Ericson stated that several meetings have taken place with Mr. Pederson, <br />Mr. Thorson, Mr. Halverson, Mr. Arnt and Staff to discuss soil conditions totaling <br />$23,000, amount of site pads, interpretation of DEED's "Shovel Ready" certification, <br />building permit fees versus developer responsibilities totaling $27,375 and the significant <br />investment that the City has made in the property. Staff recommendation is to decrease <br />the purchase price rather than setting a precedence by granting the waiving of fees <br />requested by Ruffridge Johnson Equipment Company. Posting of the roadway 9 Ton <br />allowing for their equipment needs rather than 7 Ton, and issues with RCWD and their <br />regulations from ten (10) years ago. <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
