City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 10, 2017 <br />Council Member Koski stated that he emailed the modifications to the Clerk prior to the <br />meeting. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Love with the <br />above referenced amendments. Council Member King abstained. Motion carried. <br />VIII. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City of Centerville April 27, 2017 through May 10, 2017 Claims (Check <br />#31000-31021) & #31022-31031 <br />2. Centennial Lakes Police Claims through April 25, 2017 (Check #11404- <br />11423) <br />3. Successful Performance Review — Building Official/P.W. Director Mr. Paul <br />Palzer <br />4. Centerville Lions Donation to P & R <br />5. Church of St. Genevieve Request for Licensing — Annual Parish Festival <br />(August 20, 2017) <br />a. Temp. On Sale Liquor License <br />b. Charitable Gambling (Bingo, Pull -Tabs & Raffle) <br />6. Res. #17-OXX — Supporting Local Decision -Making Authority <br />7. Approve License Agreement w/RCWD — Storm Water Model <br />Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for Council Members to add additional items or <br />remove items for further discussion. <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Review Fete des Lacs Festival Committee Schedule of Events <br />Administrator Ericson stated that this item was tabled at Council's previous meeting and <br />reported that the Festival Committee is offering new events and festivities this year. He <br />stated that the Committee desired to hold a music event at Kelly's Korner outside in the <br />parking lot but they needed assistance setting up the stage, fencing and moving items that <br />are owned by the Centerville Lions. Administrator Ericson stated that the City's <br />insurance company would cover Public Works Staff liability issues associated with <br />completing these tasks on private property. <br />Attorney Glaser stated that City Staff utilization needs to be for a public purpose, the <br />event is the City's Festival, however, it may be interpreted differently by others and the <br />City should be reimbursed for their services or if the Administrator chooses direct Staff to <br />assist volunteers. When questioned whether Kelly's Korner and the Committee could <br />find volunteers to complete these tasks, Ms. Vicki Bryne stated they could. <br />Administrator Ericson stated that Centennial School District would be providing students <br />Page 2 of 8 <br />
