City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> August 23,2017 <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Authorize the <br /> Hiring of a Temporary, Part-Time Office Assistant at a Rate Not to Exceed $14/hr as <br /> Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 5. Interim City Management <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to hire previous <br /> City Administrator Dallas Larson as the Interim City Administrator. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 7. Letter of Credit Reduction—Clearwater Creek Estates <br /> City Attorney Glaser reported that the City received a request for Letter of Credit reduction from <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Hanzal. Staff reports that the development has one (1) remaining home <br /> currently under construction, current Letter of Credit expires on August 27, 2017, Mr. & Mrs. <br /> Hanzal agree that it could be reduced to $10,000 as Staff recommends. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Reduce the <br /> Current Letter of Credit for Clearwater Creek Estates to $10,000. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 8. Employment Agreement—Interim City Administrator Dallas Larson <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that Mr. Larson's agreement with the City of Oak Grove was for a base <br /> wage of$50/hr with an additional benefit of$12/hr and an employee at-will along with normal <br /> contractual language. He stated that Mr. Larson has no desire to work 40 hours per week on a <br /> regular basis but if needed he would receive advance approval. Attorney Glaser stated that he <br /> would contact Mr. Larson the following day and that he could start as early as the following <br /> week. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve the <br /> Interim City Administrator Employment Agreement with Applied Modifications. All in <br /> favor. Motion Carried. <br /> 5. a. Res. #17-013 —Appointments for 2017 <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that with the retirement of Administrator Ericson and the hiring of Interim <br /> City Administrator Larson names would need to be modified at the bank for banking <br /> transactions. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Mayor Paar to Adopt Res. #17-013 — <br /> Appointments for 2017 with the Inclusion of Interim City Administrator Dallas Larson as <br /> presented.
