RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR ANOKA COUNTY'S <br /> RICE CREEK CHAIN OF LAKES PARK RESERVE <br /> MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest for the County of Anoka to <br /> provide open space recreational facilities within the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has worked with the cities of Centerville and <br /> Lino Lakes and other regulating agencies in a cooperative effort to develop the park <br /> reserve in the cities; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka and the Metropolitan Council have designated <br /> the park as a park reserve; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has developed a park development program for <br /> the park reserve, which includes incorporating the Wargo Nature Center's master plan <br /> into plans for the park reserve and includes several other projects and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council requires an amendment to the Master Plan <br /> for the park reserve be approved by the Metropolitan Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, City of Centerville representatives have reviewed and commented on <br /> the plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Centerville hereby offers support to <br /> Anoka County for the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve Master Plan Amendment <br /> and its effort to redevelop the park. <br />
