City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> October 25,2017 <br /> for consideration. Mayor Paar stated that he also attending the Chili Cook-Off and it appeared to <br /> be a great event. <br /> Mayor Paar reported that long-time resident Louis Thill had recently experience a stroke and is <br /> currently in transitional care. He requested that Council and residents keep him in their prayers. <br /> He stated that Mr. Louis Thill is the father of Mr. John Thill long time Lion member. <br /> Mayor Paar also reported that a recent Festival Re-Cap meeting was held where four (4) <br /> members (himself, P & R Member Mr. Chris Bettinger, Officer Bill Jacobsen and Anoka County <br /> Radio Club Member Bob Cordell) were in attendance. He stated that he will attempt to organize <br /> an additional meeting to obtain a Committee Chairperson, discuss donations, date, fireworks, etc. <br /> sometime in November. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that Public Works Technician Peterson assembled a "Flushable Wipes" <br /> display in the entry way of City Hall. He reported that "Flushable Wipes" are not flushable and <br /> a costing the City approximately $10,000 to $12,000 per year in repairs. He stated that the City <br /> would again put an article in the newsletter and requested that the newspaper also place an article <br /> as this is affecting every city in the United States. <br /> XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adiourn the <br /> Regularly Scheduled Meeting of October 25, 2017 at 10:00 p.m. All in favor.
