Interim Larson <br /> drafted a letter from Council regarding proper zoning, increased traffic, odor, etc. <br /> Council concluded that the letter was well drafted, however, they did not feel that it was the City <br /> of Centerville's place to instruct them on how to operate or make decisions within their <br /> community. Council stated that they felt that the letter being forwarded from Interim Larson to <br /> the City Administrator may be a better avenue for Centerville's concerns to be received. Mayor <br /> Paar stated that Commissioner Sivarajah and County Engineer Fischer are very aware of <br /> concerns of residents and for increased roadway traffic. <br /> X. COUNCIL/LEGAL/INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Interim Administrator Larson reported that Council had suspended the on street parking <br /> regulations due to resident construction throughout July, August, September, October and a <br /> portion of November. He stated that as of November 15, 2017 all residents would again need on <br /> street parking passes to park their vehicles on the roadway between the hours of 3:00 a.m—7:00 <br /> a.m. <br /> Interim Administrator Larson stated that Waste Management's current contract expires February <br /> 1, 2018 and if Council desired staff would commence going out for Requests for Proposals <br /> (RFPs). He also stated that Council could extend the current contract for a period of two (2) <br /> years allowing additional time to secure RFPs. Council consensus was to obtain proposals and <br /> staff would prepare an RFP by early December. <br /> Council Member King reported that North Metro Cable saved approximately $2,254 per city on <br /> new purchased equipment associated with the HD conversion and that Mr. Mike Bradley would <br /> be working on proposed ordinance language regarding small cell towers for members of the <br /> commission and if interested it would cost each city approximately $750. City Attorney Glaser <br /> stated that the City of Bloomington was one of the first communities to address the issue and has <br /> about two to three revisions since their first code. He stated that he has also been following the <br /> legislation and their code. <br /> Council Member Love thanked Interim Administrator Larson for his acceptance of coming back <br /> to the city and stated that it is a pleasure working with him again. <br /> Council Member Montain thanked spectators and participants in the Centerville Lions and <br /> Centennial Fire District Chili Cook-off recently. He stated that he attended the recent Anoka <br /> County Fire Protection meeting where they considered hiring an additional employee for <br /> dispatch with a cost of$1,000/year. He also stated that the Chiefs felt that this was a position <br /> that needed immediate filling. <br /> Mayor Paar requested an update on the City of Centerville's Facebook page from Interim <br /> Administrator Larson. Interim Larson stated that he felt that this would be a project for the new <br /> Administrator. Mayor Paar also requested an update regarding a private, in-house server versus <br /> Metro-I Net. Interim Larson stated that he had scheduled an upcoming meeting with the City's <br /> current IT provider for the following week and would be bringing information back to Council <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br />
