City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 14,2018 <br /> Mayor Paar provided Council with an opportunity for amendments. <br /> Council Member Koski requested that Shaper Homes be spelled correctly "Sharper Homes" <br /> under the Monthly Administrator's Report, paragraph 2 and Mayor Paar requested that under the <br /> Monthly Administrator's Report, paragraph 3 the second "the" should be changed to "they" on <br /> page 6 of 7. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve the <br /> January 24, 2018 Council Meeting Minutes as Per Stated Above. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> VL CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. City of Centerville January 24, 2018 through January 24, 2018 Claims (Check <br /> #31633-31657) W/Voided Checks #31652 & 31654 & (Check#31658-31665) <br /> 2. Centennial Lakes Police Claims through February 6, 2018 (Check#11806-11835) <br /> 3. Centennial Fire District Claims through January 22, 2018 (Check#8099-8105) <br /> 4. Ordinance #89, Second Series, 2018 Fee Schedule: Water Rate Tier <br /> 5. P & R Recommendation to Donate $200 to Centennial Community Education <br /> Council Member King desired to pull Item#5 for discussion. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve <br /> Items #14 as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that Ms. Sendle, Centennial School District #12, Community <br /> Education appeared before the Committee and presented a proposal for offering a skateboarding <br /> session/class and anticipated that the fee would be deemed excessive, hindering participation. <br /> She originally proposed that P & R partner with Community Education for providing a subsidy <br /> for Centerville participants of approximately $20/individual with a maximum of 10 participants. <br /> Subsequent to lengthy discussion by the Committee they desired to provide a $200 flat donation <br /> to the District's Community Education Department. Administrator Statz also stated that they <br /> desire to utilize some of Centerville's park amenities such as the sand volleyball court along with <br /> LaMotte Park's skate park. <br /> Council Member King questioned the amount of participation needed and Administrator Statz <br /> stated six (6) at a minimum and thirty (30) at maximum. Council Member Montain stated that he <br /> is the Liaison to the Committee, that Ms. Sendle provided the Committee with a well organize <br /> presentation and that they unanimously desired to work with them with this donation and Movie <br /> in the Park, advertising and alike. Ms. Sendle questioned whether there was a desire to offer the <br /> skateboarding session during Fete des Lacs and she stated that she would be attending their <br /> meeting to ascertain their decision. She felt that combined advertising would be an advantage <br /> for both parties. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member King to Approve Item <br /> #5 as presented.
