City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> February 7,2018 <br /> There was a question from the City Council as to why the Committee has a paid, <br /> non-committee member taking the minutes. The committee members explained <br /> the history of why this option was pursued and asked Council Member Montain to <br /> let the council members know that they would prefer to keep this option. <br /> 3. Water Works Development Proposal <br /> City Administrator Statz presented a proposed layout for this property. There <br /> would be no park property to be utilized by P & R. <br /> 4. Boy Scout Troop 136 <br /> Committee Member Peterson informed the committee members, and offered the <br /> services of this troop of 10-12 members for P & R projects and/or activities such <br /> as Spring Clean-Up Day. <br /> 5. Park Promotion— Committee Member Seeley <br /> Various ideas were suggested and discussed. <br /> VII. UPDATES/OTHER <br /> 1. Council Updates—Council Member Matt Montain <br /> Council Member Montain reminded the committee members of the upcoming <br /> joint Council meeting for the purpose of setting goals. <br /> 2. Review 5 year P & R Projects Lists <br /> 3. Review 5 year Park Improvement Projects "Tabled to March Meeting <br /> 4. P & R Committee Vacancy Status— 1 opening <br /> There is still one vacancy on this committee. <br /> VIII. ACTION ITEMS REVIEW <br /> Items that have been completed will be removed; some are still open and additional items <br /> discussed at this meeting will be added. A revised Action Item List, as of the February 7, <br /> 2018 meeting will be included with the minutes to be approved. <br /> • Items that have been completed or are to be deleted as of February 7, 2018 will be <br /> removed: 17-007, 17-008, 17-009,17-010, 18-001, 18-002 <br /> • Remove "Skating Party January 20, 2018" from 17-006 <br /> • Change from February, 2018 to March, 2018: 14-001, 15-010, 16-017, 16-031, 17-006 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
