CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> March 28, 2018 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City <br /> Council meeting of March 28, 2018 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Jeff Paar <br /> Council Member Russ Koski <br /> Council Member D. Love A P P I- O V C 11 <br /> f <br /> Council Member Matt Montain N N V <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Steve King <br /> STAFF: City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br /> City Administrator/Engineer Mark Statz <br /> COUNCIL MEETING <br /> L CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Paar called to order 6:31 p.m. <br /> II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> III. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> 1. Res. #18-003—Recognizing Mrs. Kari Letourneau's Heroism <br /> Mayor Paar and Council thanked and recognized Mrs. Kari Letourneau for her heroism and <br /> training by saving a three (3) year old child's life by providing the Heimlich Maneuver while the <br /> child was choking. Mayor Paar stated that Mrs. Letourneau provides a service to the community <br /> by offering child care services at Apple Academy. Mrs. Letourneau and her staff are all <br /> mandated to participate in medical education (first aid, CPR, severe head trauma, Sudden Infant <br /> Death Syndrome, bloodborne pathogens and general child development) along with reporting, <br /> risk reduction and medications. Mayor Paar stated that Apple Academy has been a huge <br /> supporter of the community. He also stated that Fox 9 News and the Quad Community Press <br /> have all recognized Mrs. Letourneau and her staff for her life saving actions. Mayor Paar read <br /> the resolution and presented it to Mrs. Letourneau and personally thanked her for saving the <br /> child's life. <br /> Motion by Council Member D. Love, seconded by Council Member Montain to Adopt Res. <br /> #18-003 — Recognizing Mrs. Kari Letourneau's Heroism as Presented. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
