City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> March 28,2018 <br /> 2. Recommendation for approval of DNR Support Letter <br /> Administrator Statz stated that on an annual basis the Bald Eagle Water Ski Club has to apply for <br /> a permit through Anoka County to install their ski jump. They annually request a letter of <br /> support from the City of Centerville. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Authorize Staff <br /> to Forward a Letter of Support of the Installation of the Bald Eagle Water Ski Club's Ski <br /> Jump on Centerville Lake. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Administrator Statz stated that his Administrator/Engineer's Report was contained in the packet <br /> and if any Council Members had requested he was available to discuss them <br /> He also stated that with the resignation of Mr. Johnson from the Planning & Zoning Commission <br /> they had two vacancies and the Parks & Recreation Committee has one vacancy. He desired to <br /> receive Council's direction for interviews to be held at Council level or respective <br /> Committee/Commission level. He stated that five (5) individuals have applied for P & Z and <br /> two (2) have applied for P & R. <br /> Consensus of the Council was that the respective Committee/Commission should interview their <br /> candidates as long as they have a quorum or all members available to participate in the interview <br /> session. <br /> Council Member Love stated that the Festival Committee chose "Cougar Pride" for this years' <br /> theme and that volunteers were needed for events. Administrator Statz stated that it is believed <br /> that with volunteers, new events and the use of social media for advertising will aid in a <br /> successful event. <br /> Mayor Paar provide updates to residents regarding the activation of the City's Facebook page, <br /> Lions Cadillac Dinner, Music in the Park program, Bald Eagle Water Ski Club, parade <br /> registration, softball/kickball registration, Fete des Lacs website and Facebook pages and that the <br /> 2018 Fete des Lacs celebration would be family-friendly and a great event. <br /> Mayor Paar wished everyone a blessed Easter Holiday. <br /> XIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adiourn the <br /> Regularly Scheduled Meeting of March 28, 2018 at 8:11 p.m. All in favor.
