I'm referring to Goetz Land- <br />scape and Garden Center. <br />Owners, Joe and Gina Goetz began <br />their business in the landscape Industry <br />seven years ago, from their bedroom of- <br />fice in a small apartment in White Bear <br />lake. It's quite obvious from just driving <br />past their current location, that business <br />has outgrown their original office! If you <br />have only been driving past, I suggest that <br />you make the time to stop into the Gar- <br />den Center. <br />Upon entering the spacious, indoor <br />Garden Center, one can feel the stresses <br />of daily life quickly diminish and replaced <br />by the wonderful, soothing aroma and <br />sounds that permeates the air. The Gar- <br />den Center features a smaI~ but efficient <br />floral design center. There is <br />also a wonderful selection of candles; bath soaps, salts and lotions; <br />handmade. soap; fragrances oils and potpourri; note cards; and beautiful Indoor and <br />outdoor water fountains. <br />Operating year round, Goetz Garden Center offers many different services in addi- <br />tion to the indoor Garden Center. Snow plowing and snow removal services, along <br />with seminars and landscape planning are available during the winter months. This is a <br />good time of year to begin planning your landscaping ideas for your yard. At Goetz <br />Garden Center, numerous hours are invested into working with your ideas and offering <br />suggestions in customizing plans just for you. Beginning this Spring, Goetz will offer <br />lawn care and mainte~ce services. This is a new division and they are already busy <br />scheduling for the upcoming season. Plans are in the making for the expansion of their <br />water garden departmeht. <br />Well attended seminars have been taking place at Goetz Garden Center, bringing <br />people not only from Centerville, but surrounding areas as well. Upcoming seminars <br />that will be occurring <br />throughout the year will <br />be: Bird Feeding (Feb. <br />200 I), Plants & Planting, <br />Annual & Perennial Bas- <br />kets, Retaining Wall <br />Construction, Water <br />Gardening, and Herb <br />Gardening. Schedules <br />for the seminars will be <br />available soon at the <br />Garden Center. <br />Joe and Gina take <br />great pride in their <br />knowledgeable staff and <br />the personalized cus- <br />tomer service that is I <br />provided, as well as the Goetz Landscape and Gorden Center owner Joe GoelZ. <br />products and services <br />they offer. They believe that they offer a good value for their customer and that is why <br />their business has grown so well over the past few years. <br />Goetz Garden Center is open Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.rn. to 7:00 p.rn. <br />and on Sunday from 10:00 a.rn. to 5:00 p.rn. So escape from the cold, dreary winter day <br />and stop in to Goetz Garden Center and bring home some things that will remind you <br />of warm, summer days! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2001 Centerville Lakelce Fishing Contest <br /> <br />On Saturday, February 10th, the Centerville Uons sponsored their First <br />Annual Ice Fishing Contest on Centerville Lake. Sixty participants paid <br />their $5.00 registration fee to hopefully win one of many fabulous prizes <br />that the Uons had gathered. The contest ran from Noon tin 3:00 p.rn. <br />Shannon Dupre was awarded the Grand Prize of 2 bunk, 4 hole, weekend <br />Ice House rental at Flagship Inn and Marina, 6.5 miles north of Isle, MN <br />with her catch of a 3 lb. Northern. Prizes were given for the three biggei' <br />fish caught and The turnout exceeded the Uons expectations with the weather con,,' <br />tions for the day. . <br />Thank you to all who participated in the contest and congratulations to all the win- <br />ners! <br />
