It seems to keep coming back for discussion. Ordinance #4 is a very important Ordinance. in that, it governs outside storage of vehi- . c:Ies. sheds and accessory structures. set- backs and other things that affect the quaIitJ of lie "and business atmosphere ~ in CenterviIIe. The Commission members are anxious to get done with this ordinance that has taken the better part of a year to update. but realize that we must do It right the first 1:ime. to avoid problems In the future. We have had appearances from the County Bank at recent meetings. They are proposing a beautiful bank. facility just east of 20th Avenue on County Road 14. In addition to their new build- ing. they are talking about Incorporating a city monument entrance sign as part of their construction with Intentions to as- sist in the cost. The bank has hired someone from the City of Centerville as the bank manager and hope to have a temporary facility running by mid Sep- tember. Greg Owens. the President of The County Bank has been great to work with and has even sat in on meet- ings. to help us revise parts of Ordinance #4. The Planning Commission has also been working on plans to revise more ordinances once we are done with Ordi- nance #4. This project will probably get under way as the cooler months ap. proach. The representatives 1aIk about what their business does. In turn, EDC Informs them as to what we do and lRquires if there is anything they need to make their experience as a busi- ness.. owner In Centerville better. At.- gust's business was Farmer's Insurance located in the newly remodeled building downtown. We are also researching historical markers for St. Genevieve's Church. Mary Capra brought a picture of one at a church in Michigan. The marker would tell a short story of how the church WB started. when the building was built and rebuilt/remodeled. etc. We are still brainstorming for a Winter ActivIty to promote Centerville and'It's businesses. It was quite im. pressive. We have gained a lot of knowledge and are exploring the p0s- sibility of haYing a traCk here in Cen- terville. Further discussions will con- tinue at our next meeting and with CIty Council sometime in the near future. Laurie LaMotte Park, and Trade McBride Park will have new 1andscap- ing around the park signs sometime in the middle of September. Welcome to our two new mem- bers of the Park and Rec Committee.
