It seems to keep <br />coming back for discussion. Ordinance <br />#4 is a very important Ordinance. in <br />that, it governs outside storage of vehi- . <br />c:Ies. sheds and accessory structures. set- <br />backs and other things that affect the <br />quaIitJ of lie "and business atmosphere <br />~ in CenterviIIe. The Commission <br />members are anxious to get done with <br />this ordinance that has taken the better <br />part of a year to update. but realize that <br />we must do It right the first 1:ime. to <br />avoid problems In the future. <br />We have had appearances from the <br />County Bank at recent meetings. They <br />are proposing a beautiful bank. facility <br />just east of 20th Avenue on County <br />Road 14. In addition to their new build- <br />ing. they are talking about Incorporating <br />a city monument entrance sign as part of <br />their construction with Intentions to as- <br />sist in the cost. The bank has hired <br />someone from the City of Centerville as <br />the bank manager and hope to have a <br />temporary facility running by mid Sep- <br />tember. Greg Owens. the President of <br />The County Bank has been great to <br />work with and has even sat in on meet- <br />ings. to help us revise parts of Ordinance <br />#4. <br />The Planning Commission has also <br />been working on plans to revise more <br />ordinances once we are done with Ordi- <br />nance #4. The representatives 1aIk <br />about what their business does. In turn, <br />EDC Informs them as to what we do <br />and lRquires if there is anything they <br />need to make their experience as a busi- <br />ness.. owner In Centerville better. At.- <br />gust's business was Farmer's Insurance <br />located in the newly remodeled building <br />downtown. <br />We are also researching historical <br />markers for St. Genevieve's Church. <br />Mary Capra brought a picture of one at <br />a church in Michigan. The marker would <br />tell a short story of how the church WB <br />started. when the building was built and <br />rebuilt/remodeled. etc. <br />We are still brainstorming for a <br />Winter ActivIty to promote Centerville <br />and'It's businesses. It was quite im. <br />pressive. We have gained a lot of <br />knowledge and are exploring the p0s- <br />sibility of haYing a traCk here in Cen- <br />terville.
