<br /> BACKGROUND
<br /> The District Board has approved 2 phases of a shoreline restoration project totaling 678 linear feet off
<br /> Centerville Lake in Centerville, MN. The project is nearing completion; however, based on onsite
<br /> conditions as described in the attached Anoka Conservation District memo,the project will require
<br /> additional rock to stabilize the shoreline properly and to ensure the longevity of the project.The City is
<br /> requesting whether additional funds would be available from the District to cover the additional
<br /> $21,840 needed to complete the project.
<br /> District Staff and the Conservation District are very supportive of the project and recommend providing
<br /> additional funds to cover the overage. Below, staff has outlined 3 different funding options. Obviously,
<br /> a 4t"option would be to not approve additional dollars; however, Staff does not recommend this
<br /> approach. The highlighted number represents the total added cost for the project for each option and
<br /> the total costs for the City and District. Notably,the "Overage Amount" represents the cost of the
<br /> additional rock for each phase under different options.
<br /> Option 1:Amend Agreements for Phase 1 and Phase 2(A17-08 at 75% and A18-01 at 50%,
<br /> respectively) respective to the grant percentage approved by the Board.This would be an $11,250
<br /> amendment for A17-08 and a $3,420 amendment for A18-01. District Total Cost: $43,045 (64%)
