The police depart- <br />ment will have staff at the police station <br />in Circle Pines as well as officers at the <br />fire stations in Centerville, Circle Pines <br />and Lexington. There will also be po- <br />lice officers on normal patrol duty. <br />There will be fire fighters at the sta- <br />tions in each community during the late <br />evening hours on December 3 I st and <br />early morning hours of January I st. <br />These officers and fire fighters will be <br />present at the stations as a precaution- <br />ary measure to provide emergency ser- <br />vice, if needed. <br />The City of Centerville has just <br />completed a watermain interconnect <br />with the City of Lino Lakes. This inter- <br />connect is operational and will be avail- <br />able in an emergency situation to con- <br />tinue to provide water to all the house- <br />holds in the community. The City has <br />several hours of reserve capacity in the <br />sewage lift stations in the community. <br />In the event of power failure, City pub- <br />lic works staff will bypass the lift sta- <br />tions with a City owned gasoline pow- <br />ered trash pump. <br />City computers have been updated <br />for Y2K compliance. All of the utility <br />providers that serve the community <br />have announced that they are Y2K <br />ready. There is no need to panic, all <br />City services are expected to operate <br />normally. It has taken the dedicated efforts <br />of not only the current councilmem- <br />bel'S, but previous councilmembers <br />along with members of other commit- <br />tees. <br />Keeping the lines of communica- <br />tion open is a key factor in Wilharber's <br />success in his personal and professional <br />life. Only 2-3% of the <br />Warrant Officers, are selected to re- <br />ceive this position. Having met the <br />high qualificatiolls established by the <br />National Guard, Wilharber, success- <br />fully completed the two week school <br />in August, which was held at Ft. <br />Rucker, Alabama. Documents were <br />sent to the National Guard Bureau in <br />Washington D.C. for final determina- <br />tion as to Wilharber's qualifications to <br />receive the status of Master Warrant <br />Officer Five. After several weeks of <br />reviewing Chief Wilharber's file, it was <br />determined that Wilharber was a <br />qualified representative and worthy to <br />receive the status of Master Warrant <br />Officer Five. On November 9, 1999, <br />Wilharber was officially awarded the <br />status of Master <br />Warrant Officer <br />Five.
