Miller was accepted by the Cir- cle Pines/Lexington Police Depart- ment over a year ago as a full-time Community Services Officer, He is presently attending SKI LLS, which provides the education required to become a Minnesota Police Officer and plans on graduating in May with intentions of obtaining a posi- tion as a Police Officer. :\1i11er encourages neighbors to get to know one another and watch out for each other to aid in the re- duction and prevention of neighbor- hood crime. He also advises resi- dents to get involved with Neighborhood Crime Watch groups, Information may be obtained by calling t he Police Department at (612) 784-2501. November J 999 Ordinance Adopted by City Council At the October 13th meeting, the City Council adopted an ordinance giv- ing the Circle Pines/Lexington Police Department Community Service Offi- cers/Crime Prevention Officers, or other agencies that provide the City with law enforcement, the power to is- sue citations. The Ordinance took ef- fect on October 26.
