The subjectmatter to be covered at this camp will be bike safety. tire safety. 911 procedure. water safety. personal safety, electrical safety. outdoor safety, and first-aid. The camp is set in an informative. butfun and exciting atmosphere. the campfee includes lunch, shirt, special giveaways and an awards ceremony at the end of the day. This progI:8lIl is intended for. children who have finished third grade in the 1996/97 school year. Contact the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department at 780-1885 or Centennial Fire Department at 784-7472 for more information. Preregistration is required and limited to the fIrSt 100 participants. Priority will be given to residents residing in Lino Lakes. Circle Pines, Lexington and Centerville until June 27. After this date, any person who wishes to register may do so. More information is available at City. Hall. , Frost FootiRgs: Required for any deck that is attached to a dwelling or garage that has frost footings. GIIIlI'tlrtdls: All decks 30 inches or more above grade must be pro- tected by a guardrail. Guardrails shall be 36 inches minimum height. Open guardrails and stair railings shall have intermediate rails or an ornamental pattern such that a 4-inch sphere cannmp~sthrough. . HIlIUlrails: Required for stair- ways and must be gripable. Flashing: All connections between deck and dwelling shall be weatherproof. Any cuts in exterior finish shall be flashed or caulked. Basement: The City Council approved a flat building permit fee of $50 to finish existing.basements. Permit applica- . tions can be obtained at City Hall. Permit AppDcatlOD 1. Complete and sign the building permit application form. 2. Submit a sketch of lot and dimensions indicating house and proposed deck location and size. 3. Include a drawing of deck details and footing details. 4. After plan review. a permit will be issued indicating any modifications required by the building inspector. . Inspections Footings must be inspected before pouring concrete. Fmal inspection is required after deck is cmnpleted. .
