Recruit volunteers to assist within law en- <br />forcement agencies(in most states) <br />. Sponsor sensitivity training in elder issues for <br />law enforcement and business leaders. <br />. Promote Gatekeepers programs to support <br />elderly persons living on their own as in <br />Florida and Washington. <br />. Refurbish stuffed animals for law enforce- <br />ment officers to give to children who have <br />been victims of or witnesses to crime as in <br />Connecticut and Maryland. <br />. Promote Senior Crime Stoppers in nursing <br />homes. <br />. Develop and implement comprehensive scam <br />prevention programs. <br />.
