Please plan to attend this impOrtant <br />meeting. Plan completlon"ls antldpated by early June so we need' your <br />comments, concerns, criticisms and ideo now to trUly make this your plan. <br />If you cannot attend, but wish to comment, please do so in writing and submit <br />to City Hall, clo Park and Pedestrian System Task Force. . <br /> <br />When:. . <br />Where: <br /> <br />WednesdayAprll 28, 1993 6:30 p.m. .. <br />Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street, Councll Chambers <br /> <br />At its March 10th meeting the Oty Council approved a proposal submitted by Maier <br />Stewart and Associates, Inc. ud Carol loff Pelton to begin work on a Park and Pedestrian <br />System Comptehensive Plan. . Oversight fOr the project is being performed by a task force <br />comprised of members of the Oty Council, Park and Recreation Committee, Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, Economic Development Task Force, Oty staff, and Centennial School <br />District. The concept plan in the newsletter is the result of the Task Force's work to date. <br /> <br />Objectives of the Park and Pedestrian System Comprehensive Plan include: <br /> <br />., -.,.~.~'''' .- c- _o.-J.__~~__"':;"'" ,. .-.:: t~.;. ,~""":''''';l~. <br /> <br />A. Identify the current and future needs via input from dtizens, the Park and <br />Recreation Committee, other Oty Committees and Commissions and the Oty <br />Councll throUgh past data and future public hearings. <br /> <br />B. Develop, record and officially adopta park and pedestrian system comprehensive <br />plan that reflectS the current and future needs of the City of Centerville. <br /> <br />C. Identify existing and potential future Oty properties, as well as other public <br />properties that may be integrated into the plan. <br /> <br />D. Identify existing Oty ordinances, polides and procedures that pertain to park and <br />pedestrian system planning, development and manageme~t. <br /> <br />E. . Summarize recreation planning guidelines andstan4ards and other resources <br />that pertain to park and pedestrian system development and management. <br /> <br />F. Identify funding sources and time frames for development and management of park <br />and pedestrlan sysqm facUities, 1D.cluding potential cooperative projects. <br /> <br />G.
