The City Public Works department with be investigating <br />newly constructed buildings to ensure compliance. <br /> <br />TRESPASSING - Centerville is a city with a rural flavor, many <br />residents move out to Centerville because of the open spaces <br />still left within the City. However, it is important that both <br />long term and recently settled residents recognize the boundaries <br />of their own property lines. This is of concern in all cases, <br />but it has been brought to the attention of the City offices that <br />many residents are using the fields and wooded areas of some of <br />the larger property owners for their own recreation (hiking, <br />children playing, snowmobiles, all terrain vehicle, pets). <br />Please note that unless you actually own the property, you do not <br />legally have a right to use the property. Please ask the <br />property owners permission. He/she may be more understanding <br />than you think, but at the same time would be able to point out <br />areas that he/she would like left undisturbed. Please note in <br />particular that this is the planting season, and that crops may <br />be the property owner's main source of income. Let's all <br />cooperate and keep our farmers. <br /> <br />CHILD SAFETY - Soon it will be summer and our children will no <br />longer be in school. Complaints have been received regarding <br />children playing in the streets. All motorist should be aware <br />and try to be extra careful this summer. However, it should also <br />be stressed that it is the responsibility of each individual <br />parent to make sure that his/her child is not playing in or near <br />the streets. The City is asking each parent to cooperate to help <br />make this summer a safe one.
