Adult volunteers are needed to assist in patrolling the <br />Main Street area during student walking hours. Your donation of time may save <br />a life. <br /> <br />ARBOR DAY - Will be celebrated by Centerville on Friday. April <br />28. 1989. Trees will be planted in the Royal Meadows park areas. <br />Volunteers are needed. If you are able to help, please contact <br />Myra Spijer at 426-1339 or Centerville Elementary School <br />Principal, Dan Kelly at 429-4704. <br /> <br />GJ1.FBSIDE RECYCLING Glass bottles, aluminum, tin cans, and <br />newspapers are items which should be recycled. RecycJables are <br />picked up weekly with the regularly scheduled garbage pick up <br />(Fridays). Call Lake Sanitation at 429-7763 to sign up for <br />curbside recycling and to obtain information on how to prepare <br />the recyclables for pick up. <br />All residents who are currently active in the curbside <br />recycling program are commended for their participation. <br /> <br />SPRING CLEAN --IlE - Saturday, April 29, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at <br />the Centerville City Hall Parking Lot. Two dumpsters will be <br />available to residents for disposing of yard debris. Brush must <br />be tied in bundles not larger than 18 inches in diameter and 4 <br />feet long. Debris not accepted will be: hazardous waste, paint, <br />dirt, concrete. Tires will be accepted at a charge of $5.00 <br />each, payable to Lake Sanitation. <br /> <br />RIVERS AND LAKES CLEAN UP - June 3, 1989 has been designated as <br />Rivers and Lakes Clean Up. Final details are in the process of <br />being worked on. The Peltier Lake Association, the Centerville <br />Lake Association and the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club have volunteer <br />to assist in this clean up project. Their volunteerism reflects <br />their consciousness of our fragile environment. All three <br />organizations are to be commended for their participation. If <br />you as an individual or your group is interested in participating <br />also, please contact City Hall. <br /> <br />LITTER AND DEBRIS Complaints have been received regarding <br />litter and debris on private properties. It is a violation of <br />City Ordinance #6* to have an accumulation of debris of any <br />nature or description on your property. The City would like to <br />encourage community pride. Please look around your yard/property <br />and take advantage of Spring Clean Up Day, Saturday, April 29, <br />1989. Thank you. <br /> <br />JUNK CARS - Complaints have been received regarding junk cars. <br />Ordinance #6* prohibits junk cars.
