CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> REQUEST FOR <br /> COUNCIL ACTION J`' <br /> o <br /> Agenda Item# Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br /> Administration July 11, 2018 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> Refuse and Recycling Contract <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> The city has entered into negotiations with Republic Services for a contract to provide Refuse and Recycling <br /> service to our residents. The new contract will be effective August 1 and will transition billing responsibilities <br /> to the city. Our city attorney has prepared a memorandum outlining the highlights of the contract. While the <br /> final version of the contract is not yet ready, we wanted to present this information to the Council in case there <br /> were any concerns. <br /> COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br /> No direct cost to the city. Staff time, however, will be required for the billing responsibilities. <br /> REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> No formal action is required.
