City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> July 25,2018 <br /> also stated that the amount of escrow was $19,000. Attorney Glaser stated that he wrote the <br /> agreement in anticipation that additional home sales requiring connection would occur. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding interest occurring upon failure of the homeowner's connection, <br /> costs associated with the Attorney's time to draft the legal document ($500), waiving of these <br /> fees due to additional sales, timeframe for drafting of the agreement, need for connection <br /> ordinance amendment, conscience enforcement and requirements. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve the <br /> Water Connection and Special Assessment Agreement, Waiver of Hearing and Appeal for <br /> 1299 Mound Trail and Waive Associated Legal Fees. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding discussion of Ordinance amendment and policies. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the item of Code Amendment/policies would be placed on the <br /> first meeting in September's Agenda for discussion. <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Administrator Statz stated that his weekly report was placed in the packet and he would answer <br /> questions is Council addressed them. <br /> Council Member Love thanked Council Member Montain for attending the recent Police <br /> Commission meeting and also thanked his wife Susan for assisting him in announcing the Fete <br /> des Lacs parade. He also thanked staff, the Mayor, the Festival Committee, Mr. Ben <br /> Fehrenbacher for organizing the parade and all individuals and families that participate or <br /> volunteered with Fete des Lacs. <br /> Council Member Koski stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission action was already <br /> discussed earlier (variance). He also thanked all that participated and volunteered during Fete <br /> des Lacs and stated that the City has many talented and giving individuals. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that he attended a Fire Steering meeting the previous week where discussions <br /> took place regarding duty crews, the budget for 2019 and purchasing new fire trucks. <br /> Mayor Paar and Council Member Montain both stated that Night to Unite and St. Gen's annual <br /> picnic were fast approaching (August 7 and August 19, 2018) respectively and encouraged <br /> people to participate. <br /> Mayor Paar thanked everyone who participated, organized, volunteered, etc. with Fete des Lacs <br /> and stated that the Festival would not be what it was without their assistance. <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> 10 <br />
