City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> July 25,2018 <br /> 1. July 11, 2018 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> Mayor Paar provided Council Members with an opportunity for modifications to the submitted <br /> minutes. <br /> It was noted that the minutes were incorrect and should, instead, reflect that Council Member <br /> Koski had motioned for adjournment, King 2na <br /> Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Montain to Approve the <br /> minutes with noted change. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. City of Centerville July 11, 2018 through July 25, 2018 Claims (Check#31977- <br /> 32018) wNoided Check#31985, 31977 & 31989) <br /> 2. Centennial Lakes Police Claims through July 18, 2018 (Check#12092-12113) <br /> 3. Centennial Fire District Claims through July 10, 20198 (Check#8244-8250) <br /> 4. Successful Performance Review—Ms. Kris Sweeney, Senior Account Clerk <br /> (Completion of 18 Years) <br /> 5. Res. #18-OXX—Assigning Duties as they Relate to Handling Banking Transactions <br /> for the City of Centerville <br /> Mayor Paar provided Council with an opportunity to discuss any item(s). <br /> Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve the <br /> Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Paar congratulated Kris on her 18 years with the city, noting that she is a huge asset to <br /> city and her hard work is much appreciated. Others echoed the mayor's comments. <br /> VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. 1737 Main Street Asbestos Abatement <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the former office of the Paul Steffel insurance agency, previously <br /> a residential home, is owned by the city. Councils previous direction was to look into whetehr <br /> there was a market to have the home moved. Staff has found no market to move the home and <br /> demolition would be the next option. The first step to demolition is to get a clean bill of health. <br /> Quotes have been received to complete the asbestos abatement. Paul Palzer, Public Works <br /> Director has suggested using the quote of TL Enterprises, despite it being $5 higher than the <br /> other quote, since the other quote had exceptions regarding cleaning costs. <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
