City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> July 25,2018 <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Mark report in packet and answer questions off of that. <br /> D few short things and thank Matt for attending Police and thank yous Susan Love announce <br /> parade and Ben organizing parade and Fete committee Mark and Teresa and Thank Mayor Jeff <br /> Paar and twitting and face book and a great week last week. <br /> Koski P & Z variance on Robin Lane and enjoy last weeks festivities and great week and thank <br /> everyone for hard work, effort and volunteers and Mayor a lot of time and recognize him for that <br /> and thought events were wonderful and good events and not sure we know talented and <br /> dedicated people and thank for what did. <br /> Night to Unite and good time to know neighbors, Fire meeting and thanks for last week and good <br /> responses. <br /> Jeff did have fire steering meeting last week and discussed duty crew and use what we have for <br /> rest of year and 3% under budget to date and 2019 our portion $11,652 and discussed did move <br /> the funds forward to purchase fire trucks and we thought good idea to build fund up and added <br /> $20,000 additional for that line item and help with needed fire trucks and desire to be ongoing <br /> and discuss where at and each city and approved for this year and reason for our increase and <br /> police decrease of$7500 for total. Calls are a small portion up and spoke of duty crew chief has <br /> not had a lot of people wanting to fill spots and revisit next year and concerns are hours of <br /> operation 6 a.m — 6 p.m. harder to get volunteers and could be changes with individuals retiring <br /> and keep attempting to find solutions to work. <br /> Jeff stated Matt brought up night to unite and St. Gen's Chicken Dinner August 19, 2018 great <br /> event and encourage everyone to go. <br /> Jeff festival so many to thank D & Susan huge announcer for parade and do fantastic job, North <br /> Metro community photo and at all events, Council for approving funds, Russ and Matt <br /> involvement and public safety also and Russ with line up. Ben Fehrenbacher ochastrated all of <br /> that and people that helped with lineup are actual residents. Dan Capra and Mark Sundquist. <br /> CLPD and CFD and huge participants and keeping to safe. Bill Jacobsen at all events and <br /> thanks, CERT — Michelle Lakso and Radio Club volunteer their time and have them help out, <br /> Tom Lee, Bald Eagle, P & R committee and City staff and Lions club some many people public <br /> safety at school and thank school for use of parking lot — overall thank you to all for making <br /> possible and sponsors and businesses donated time and money made possible. Ben a lot with <br /> parade and D helped out as well. Hope next year continue to move forward. <br /> Started in 1990 and piece on North Metro Cable and started by City parade and fireworks and <br /> now 5 day celebration and 28th year and grown to a bigger festival. 1971 and Mill Road 1854 <br /> Charles Peltier saw mill on Clearwater creek.
