City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> August 22,2018 <br /> Council Member Love thanked the staff for mentoring his son as he was a P-T Seasonal Public <br /> Works employee this summer and he stated that he was very enlightened by the conversations he <br /> had with him regarding work activities. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that the City recently tweeted and posted on Facebook that the Pickleball <br /> Court at Eagle Park had just recently opened. He also stated that St. Genevieve's recently held <br /> their annual picnic with a rather large crowd in attendance. He stated that the event is very <br /> community friendly. He reported that he recently attended a Festival wrap-up meeting where <br /> discussions took place regarding where a live band for the event could be had, additional <br /> advertising, community photo following the last float rather than a separate time and place, <br /> upgrading banners, adding a medallion hunt, etc. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that Comcast/Xfinity is providing Internet Essentials to veterans/military <br /> personnel and for those interested to visit their web site. <br /> Mayor Paar reported U.S. Census facts for Centerville from 1920 —2016 and stated that the city <br /> will grow slightly over the next several years due to development. <br /> XIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adiourn <br /> their Regularly Scheduled Meeting of August 22, 2018 at 7:34 p.m. All in favor.
