City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> September 26,2018 <br /> Mayor Paar provided Council with an opportunity to discuss any item(s). <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve <br /> Item #4 as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Award Contract for Demolition of 1737 Main Street <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the City received quotes from reputable/competent firms and <br /> Sauter & Sons was lowest bidder at $17,700. Council Member Montain questioned the <br /> timeframe for completion and Administrator Statz stated December 15, 2018. He also stated that <br /> he believed that the electrical and gas services had already been disconnected. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member King to Award the <br /> Demolition Contract for the House and Garage at 1737 Main Street to Sauter & Sons. All <br /> in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Ord. #91, Second Series—Water Connection Ordinance <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission has reviewed, made <br /> suggestions and Council made suggestions at their first reading of the Ordinance and all <br /> recommendation have been included. Administrator Statz stated that the current document <br /> contains language regarding the issuance of a building permit that increased the value of a home <br /> by at least $10,000 (51.200 Mandatory Connection to Public Systems, (C) 3)) which was struck <br /> from Council's original motion last year. <br /> Lengthy discussion was had regarding municipal connection and use of existing wells for <br /> irrigation, the downtown area, cross-contamination, White Bear Lake water levels and drilling of <br /> new wells. <br /> Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Love to Remove (51.200 <br /> Mandatory Connection to Public Systems, (C), 3) and Adopt Ord. #91, Second Series — <br /> Water Connection. Council Member King Opposed. Motion carried. <br /> IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Mr. Mark Guggenberger, 6928 Ivy Court—Request for Special Assessment (Water <br /> Line Lateral Charge$6,500) <br /> This was previously addressed. <br /> 2.
