City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> October 10,2018 <br /> Council Members Montain and Koski requested modifications to the minutes: VIII. Old <br /> Business, Item 44 to remove "All in favor" and the vote of "4/1" be added, IV. <br /> Appointments/Presentations, paragraph 11 should reflect "owned" versus "owed", paragraph 12 <br /> should reflect "teachers" versus "teacher" and X. Council/Administrator Announcements, <br /> paragraph 5 should reflect "zoned"versus "zoning". <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve the <br /> September 12, 2018 Meeting Minutes with Modifications. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. City of Centerville September 26, 2018 through October 10, 2018 Claims (Check <br /> #32165-32186) & (Check#32187-32189) <br /> 2. Centennial Lakes Police Claims through September 21, 2018 (Check#12207-12239) <br /> W/EFT US Bank& Optum <br /> 3. Centennial Fire District Claims through October 10, 2018 (Check#8321-8328) <br /> W/EFT HSA & US Bank <br /> 4. Encroachment Agreement—7071 Brian Court, Fence <br /> 5. Request from Kelly's Korner for Granting 2 AM Closing <br /> 6. Res. #18-014 —Proclamation for the City of Centerville being a Purple Heart City <br /> Mayor Paar provided Council with an opportunity to discuss any item(s). <br /> Council Member Montain questioned the steps following the adoption of Res. 418-014. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that a representative of the Military Order of the Purple Heart along <br /> with local veterans have been invited to attend Council's November 14 City Council meeting <br /> where the City will be presented with one (1) or (2) designated parking signs. He stated that it is <br /> felt that one (1) will be installed at City Hall with possibilities of additional signs being placed at <br /> local parks. He reported that he has been approached by the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon <br /> Program and that will be discussed at the same meeting. <br /> Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Montain to Approve the <br /> Consent Agenda as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. None. <br /> IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Lawn Maintenance Quotes —Awarding a Bid <br /> Administrator Statz stated that Staff solicited Requests for Proposals for lawn mowing contracted <br /> services for 2019-2021, we received five (5) competitive bids with RJ Property Maintenance, <br /> Inc. being the lowest bidder at $1,447/week. <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
